E-Mitra is an online platform initiated by the Rajasthan Government to provide a variety of citizen services in the state. It is a one-stop solution for availing various government services like paying bills, applying for certificates, filing taxes, and much more.
The E-Mitra project was launched in 2004 as a pilot project in five districts of Rajasthan, and it was later expanded to cover all the districts in the state. The project aims to provide citizen-centric services at the village and town level, especially in remote areas, through the use of technology.
Today, E-Mitra has become an essential service delivery platform in Rajasthan, with more than 40,000 E-Mitra kiosks spread across the state. The platform offers over 250 services, including utility bill payments, land records, Aadhaar card services, birth and death certificates, and many others.
To avail of the E-Mitra services, citizens need to visit their nearest E-Mitra kiosk and provide their details. They can then pay the requisite fee and get their desired service in a hassle-free and transparent manner. The platform has helped streamline service delivery in the state, enabling citizens to access government services with ease.
Overall, the E-Mitra project has been a great success in Rajasthan, providing citizens with convenient access to government services, promoting transparency, and facilitating the development of a digital ecosystem in the state.
